Women experiencing homelessness often face significant barriers when trying to secure employment, attend appointments, obtain housing, or care for their children. These challenges become even greater when safe childcare and dependable transportation are unavailable.
Maanav Sewa works to connect homeless women and their children with childcare, transportation, temporary shelter, public assistance, and other community resources.
In one completed project, Maanav Sewa funded transportation for the children of a homeless woman so they could travel safely between their shelter and Elite City Kids Childcare. This assistance gave the children consistent access to care while reducing an important transportation burden for their mother.
